FAQs
-
RVH will begin services at 7:00 am.
We have three routes in Rancho Viejo. Due to route sizes, please allow
some time for crews to arrive at your house.
-
We provide services for all Rancho Viejo neighborhoods:
- La Entrada
- The Village
- Windmill Ridge
We have three routes with 2-4 crew members per route.
-
We will clear snow:
- When accumulations are an inch or more based on information
gathered from multiple locations around Rancho Viejo.
- When the temperatures will not reach above 32 degrees
before 11:00 am.
RVH uses 5 data points in Rancho Viejo before a decision is made to
start services. Snow in our area is NOT consistent, but we do our best to
plan it out as best we can.
When we get to your location, crews will quickly assess, and if your location
does not meet our accumulation requirements, crews will not proceed.
Example
• If it's snowing at 4:00 pm and accumulations reach 4 inches.
RVH will send crews out the following morning if the criteria
are still met.
-
We will not clear snow if:
- We have not received less than an inch of snow.
- It is still actively snowing, and we are expecting more snowfall
for the morning.
- Temperatures are expected to reach above 32 degrees before
10:00 am
-
We have set these criteria so that customers don’t have to pay for snow
removal services when the likelihood of snow melting is high. We don’t
want to charge you for snow that will be gone in a few hours.
Being that we live in New Mexico, it's hard to forecast our weather
from one hour to the next, but we will do our best job for you every
time.
-
We clear snow from areas identified by the customer. Sidewalks,
patios, driveways, and main entrances are some of the most common
areas.
Clearing means we remove snow from these locations and pile it to the
sides for the sun to heat the cement and prevent damage. We do not
remove snow from your property.
If snow is left on the cement surface, it increases the likelihood of ice
forming and damaging the cement. It is an HOA requirement in Rancho
Viejo that all homeowners remove snow from all sidewalks that border
their property.
-
RVH crews will not remove snow from patio furniture, cars, or other
landscape or hardscape features. If a car(s) is in the driveway, RVH
crews will leave a 1-foot buffer around the car and will not clear snow
near or under the vehicle.
-
RVH administrators will send out an email the day or night before we
plan to be out. This information is to inform our customers to expect
our crews on their property early in the morning and not to be alarmed
by work crews.
-
If you receive an email the day before and in the morning, you feel that
you do not need services, call, text, or email, and we will ensure that
you do not get services that day.
-
Because snow accumulates differently around the neighborhood, there
may be a day that we have elected not to send out our crews, but you
do in fact need services. If this is the case, please reach out to us to
make arrangements.
-
As part of our process, we require our crew members to take pictures
of work completed. As pictures are submitted, we can confirm that the
work was done correctly, and if not, we can redirect crew members to
correct it as needed.
-
No, RVH will not remove the ice. If ice is built up, RVH will clear all snow
from the surface. RVH follows all HOA guidelines on the use of
chemicals and mechanical methods for ice removal.
Mechanical means for removing ice can be damaging to cement or brick
surfaces. If we attempt mechanical means, we could inadvertently
damage your property.
RVH crew members do not carry any ice removal products.
Please also know that if ice has accumulated, it may look as if snow
removal was not completed properly. This can happen if snow is
shoveled off of a surface that has ice underneath.
-
RVH invoices once per snow removal service. If there are multiple
service days in a week, please expect more than one invoice email to be
sent.
